• Up to 50% of the purchase price of one eligible charger or load-management product, after it is installed. Source
• Purchase price means the price before taxes, shipping and fees, after any discounts. Source

Who qualifies

• You are a PG&E residential electric customer. Community Choice (CCA) and Direct Access customers qualify; municipal-utility electric customers do not. Source
• You have a battery-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle registered at your PG&E service address. Source
• A DMV change-of-address form is not accepted in place of a current registration. Source
• One rebate per household (per PG&E electric service agreement ID). Source
• Not eligible if you took part in PG&E's earlier Residential Charging Solutions program. Source
• If you are approved for Standard, you cannot later apply for the income-qualified Rebate Plus option. Source

Deadlines

• No pre-approval: buy and install first, then apply. Source
• Apply within 180 days of buying the equipment. You cannot start before you buy. Source
• Processing: ~10 business days to process; check mailed within 5 business days of approval. Source

Do you need an electrician's invoice?

• An electrician's invoice is required for a hard-wired charger. Source
• It is also required when a new dedicated 240-volt outlet was installed for the charger. Source
• Not required for a plug-in charger on a 240-volt outlet you already had. Source
• Not required for the NeoCharge products on the list. Source
• Any installation that is done must still be done by a licensed California electrician. Source

How you apply

• You apply yourself, and PG&E pays the rebate to you, the applicant. DuloCore checks your eligibility and prepares your documents; it does not submit for you. Source

Documents you'll need

• DMV Vehicle Registration Card

  Current California DMV registration card - or the dealer temporary registration - for the battery-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle, registered at the service address

• Equipment Purchase Receipt

  Receipt or invoice for the charging equipment showing vendor name, your name, your shipping address, purchase date, purchase price and the equipment model

• Photo of Installed Equipment

  Photo showing the equipment mounted, wired or plugged in at the property

• Photo of Equipment Serial Number

  Close-up photo of the serial-number label on the installed equipment, legible enough to read every character

Hard-wired charger, or a new 240-volt outlet was installed

• Electrician's invoice

  Invoice with the contractor's name and license number, and your name and address in the "bill to" field

• Ford: PG&E asks for the Charger ID instead of a serial number.
• Siemens: PG&E asks for the Production Date Code (procode) instead of a serial number.
